Sample entertainment and shopping projects in Silesia
Entertainment
A network of cinemas (both traditional studio cinemas and multiplex cinemas) offers the latest repertoire available in Poland. Cities of the Agglomeration aim at providing their inhabitants with proper access to cultural services and finance theatres and musical institutions. The region also has a lot to offer to those who like club music, jazz and blues.
Active leisure
Those who like to spend their free time in an active way may visit fitness clubs and other centres which offer horse riding, swimming, basketball or football. On the outskirts of the Agglomeration there are 3 golf centres (two 9-hole courses and one 18-hole course). Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska, located to the north of the centre of the region, is an area valued by cycling and rock climbing enthusiasts. The Beskidy Mountains, situated about 100 km away from Katowice, also offer many attractions, e.g. gliding, paragliding, skiing and extreme mountain biking.
Hotel accommodation
There are high-class hotels (****, in the centre of the Agglomeration) and hotels of lower categories which cater both for the needs of tourists and people travelling in business. The offer of the region is enriched with new projects which are well underway. However, there are still attractive investment possibilities. SPA facilities, which use natural resources of the region and the growing wealth of society, are also created.
