Waiting for modern office spaces
The office space market changed significantly in 2006.
The level of vacant spaces in properties of class A decreased to a record level of 2.5%, in properties of class B to 16%. The supply of modern market spaces does not correspond to the demand arising from excellent economic situation. Thus, 2007 may become a period of an exceptional boom as regards creating new office buildings in Katowice.
The office space market changed significantly in 2006. The level of vacant spaces in properties of class A decreased to a record level of 2.5%, in properties of class B to 16%. The success of Altus was possible thanks to including the building in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, which offers investors tax concessions.
The supply of office spaces of classes A, B+ and B in Katowice amounts to 150,000 m2, 60% of which are located within the central zone of the city. That is definitely below
the expectations of the market driven by excellent economic situation.
