Christmas fair in the Katowice downtown
This year for the first time Christmas Fair will be organized with stalls placed in the very heart of the city from 6 December till 24 December.
The authorities of Katowice have been inspired by the experience of cities which have a long tradition of organizing such events, namely the French city of Saint Etienne or the German city of Cologne.
“The stalls placed along Staromiejska and Dyrekcyjna Streets will offer sweets, Christmas trees and seasonal decorations,” says Marcin Stańczyk from the promotion department of the Municipality Office. Attractions for children will include a ride on a merry-go-round and a photo with Santa.
