About real estate at high level
The conference focused on discussing the most important issues for the Silesian Province, concerning site development plans, their meaning and influence
on the investment climate in the region. Another subject raised was that of revitalisation of post-industrial areas – opportunity for more dynamic development
and improvement of the region’s image. Other key topics were related to infrastructural investments which are implemented and planned in the region. There was also discussion about the impact of infrastructure on investment dynamics and real estate prices.
Metropolis Commercial Real Estate was represented by Katarzyna Szyndlar, Investment Consultancy Director. Ms Szyndlar presented the situation on the office space market
of the Silesian Agglomeration, where high demand exceeds the supply of available space several times - it concerns mainly properties of the highest class A and B+. Experts consider the centre of Katowice as the most attractive location of the Agglomeration. Hence, it is expected that the city centre redevelopment will increase the supply of space and improve the architectural level of the capital of the region. In the opinion
of specialists, other cities of the Agglomeration also have a chance to take advantage
of the investment boom.
The analysis prepared by Metropolis included information on possibilities of revitalising post-industrial complexes from the 19th and 20th centuries, characteristic of Silesia and its industrial history. Manchester, Dűsseldorf and Łodź have implemented similar investments and gained areas that won architects’ acclaim and aroused customers’ interest.
“Silesian Real Estate Market – Meeting of Elites” belongs to a cycle of conferences devoted to regional real estate markets, organised for ten years for the main players
of the real estate business and the managerial personnel of the related sectors.
