Slogan for the Silesian Agglomeration
Members of the jury admit in today’s Gazeta Wyborcza that the choice was very difficult. The slogans may be divided into several groups. Written in the local dialect, such as: "Ślonsko Aglomeracja - inwestujesz, mosz racja", "Śląsk - richtik fajne miejsce". Rhymes: "Zwarci i otwarci", "Aglomeracja Śląska - to nie żart, to więcej niż domek z kart". Irreverent: "Silesia elwry zapraszają", "Silesia. Tylko się zgrywamy". And those creating sense of community: "ŚLĄSKA aglomeRACJA STANU", "Słowo Ślązak brzmi dumnie" or "Społeczność śląska wszystkiemu sprosta".
Now, readers of Gazeta Wyborcza will choose one of the three slogans presented above (voting coupons are printed in the Katowice edition of Gazeta Wyborcza). The winner will receive a cash prize of PLN 7,000, and 30 readers who will take part in the voting will get PLN 100 each.
This is already the second stage of the competition. The first stage, consisting in choosing a graphic sign for the Silesian Agglomeration, started in March. The winning logo is by Zofia Przybylska and it presents 17 rectangles symbolising the cities of the Agglomeration.
The competition is sponsored by Metropolis Commercial Real Estate.
