A new hotel of the Hotel System chain is being erected in Katowice at Górnośląska Avenue. What makes it different is the possibility to buy one of its rooms and to become a co-owner of the hotel.

This is another building belonging to the Hotel System - a chain of Polish hotels that was created five years ago. Two similar hotels are already in Kraków, one in Poznań and one in Wrocław. The hotel in Katowice is going to be the biggest because of great demand for economy class rooms among the visitors to the Silesian Agglomeration.

The building is to be ready in spring next year. It will consist of two blocks. The lower, five-storey block and the tall, fourteen-storey skyscraper will house a two-star and a three-star section of the hotel respectively. There will be a glassed-in hall between the two blocks. The common area will house a conference centre, a restaurant and a fitness club with swimming pool and gym.

Each hotel room will be equipped with a personal computer with free access to the Internet and an LCD TV. The above facilities have been introduced to meet the expectations of business clientele, mainly of managers and sales representatives, who are frequent visitors to the Hotel System.

The Hotel System offers rooms and even whole floors to buy. As a buyer you acquire rights to the premises but you cannot take up your residence there or influence the marketing policy of the chain. You get a permanent rent instead - a kind of a dividend - which is not dependent on room occupancy. It provides permanent and secure income, higher than a regular bank deposit. You also get a 25 per cent discount on hotel rooms of the Hotel System chain in Poland. There are still some rooms left for sale in the Katowice hotel.

The chain will soon open a four-star Hotel System in the centre of Warsaw and two five-star SPA hotels in Dźwirzyno, right at the seaside, and in Zakopane. The company’s aim is to have hotels in all larger cities of Poland.
